Africa's Home of Sports Data

Afrostats is African Script's multi-role sports data intelligence platform, connecting leagues, clubs, statisticians, clerks and fans in one system. A league's competitions, seasons, rounds and matches are managed top to bottom, live scores reach the public the moment a match is underway, and official standings are built only from matches that have actually been verified - never from an unconfirmed number.

Most grassroots and semi-professional leagues run on a spreadsheet, a WhatsApp group for results, and whichever club official remembers to pay the match fee. Afrostats replaces that with a real data pipeline: a statistician at the venue records the match, a reviewer confirms it, and only then does it count toward a team's record - with club payments and statistician payouts both handled through M-Pesa along the way.

Platform Overview

Every side of the game Afrostats is actually built for, in one platform.

A league's own shape, enforced, not just suggested by the UI.

  • Competition → Season → Round → Match, enforced at every level - a match can't exist without a round, a round can't exist without a season
  • Teams and club accounts linked into that structure from the start

A match moves through real, named states - scheduled, lineup confirmed, officials assigned, live, paused, completed, verified, locked - with postponement and cancellation handled explicitly, not by quietly deleting a row.

  • Public scores show live, marked "Unverified" until a reviewer confirms the match
  • Standings, leaderboards and player/team stats are built only from verified and locked matches
  • A verified match can be reopened by an admin with a reason on record; a locked match is final

A club covers its matches either with an annual membership or fee-per-match - tracked automatically, whether or not that club even has its own account on the platform.

  • Clubs pay in the portal by wallet or M-Pesa STK push
  • Staff can also collect at the venue - M-Pesa prompt, cash, M-Pesa code, bank, or a waiver with a reason on record
  • Every collection gets a receipt and an SMS receipt

Match-day data entry is real, paid work, not a volunteer favour.

  • Statisticians apply for available match-day tasks and get assigned
  • Their submissions are reviewed before a match counts as verified
  • Paid via M-Pesa B2C payout batches once work is confirmed

Live scores and standings are free and public. A detailed public player profile is a small paid view - a real, built-in way for the platform to earn from the fan side, not just the club side.
